Ryan and I met during Baylor Welcome Week. When we met, I kept calling him "Rick" Boss, over and over again… and the next day I was informed his name was actually "Ryan" Boss. So embarrassing. The following week I was determined to redeem myself. I decided to wear a bright, red dress to my first Baylor tailgate.
I wanted to be "cute." When we walked in, I found myself in a sea of green and gold, and realized how big of a mistake I had made. After these two incidents, I thought my chances with Ryan were pretty much shot, but he decided to ask for my number, and he took me on a date. After that, the rest is pretty much history. I kept embarrassing myself, and he kept loving me for it (or that's what I keep telling myself)! Then, on February 27, 2016, he took me on a weekend trip to Waco.
I thought we were going to see the new Baylor business school, and the Magnolia Market, but to my surprise he proposed to me on the Baylor campus! I was shocked, and said yes. After he had a surprise engagement party planned with all of our friends and family back in Houston. Once again I was shocked, he really pulled off the ultimate surprise engagement. We got married a year later at Briscoe Manor on January 15, 2017. 172 of our closest family and friends attended, and we had a beautiful ceremony and an awesome reception (S'More's bar included).
